It is vitally important that friends, family and spouse know your wishes for end of life issues. The confusion and uncertainty can spoil relationships and cause many hard feelings if not outright estrangements.
A majority of Americans (75%) are in favor of advance directives, yet only 25 to 30% actually prepare them. This can cause an undue burden on your family at the time of crisis. Make your wishes known beforehand.

Taking care of a horse can be a fun and rewarding experience. Just like any domesticated animal or pet, they rely on us for their well-being.
The first basic step in caring for your horse is to provide adequate feed, water, and forage. Grain comes in a variety of forms, such as pellets or textured. The compressed brand being granulated into pellets, and textured grain (also called sweet feed), allows you to visible see the oats, corn, and molasses. The preference is yours, but keep in mind your horse may prefer, perform, and thrive better on one versus the other. The amount of grain that you feed your horse will depend on his performance level, general health, and nutritional needs.

My Doctor said “you have to change your diet or you are going to plug your arteries!”
He had been telling me that for years and I just dismissed it because I did not feel bad so what could be wrong with it. Well now that I am over 50 and gravitationally challenged I realize what he was trying to tell me. After my cholesterol and blood pressure began going higher and higher. I had many bad eating habits I had to break, such as, eating anything out of the vending machine at work when I had a break. Trans Fat, and sugar content never concerned me then. After reading several diet and health books the common theme to them seemed to be portion control to lose weight and a more natural diet to maintain health. Berries seemed to be good for you for both diet and health so after experimenting with several recipes I came up with one that naturally turns into a berry pudding that is great for snacks. I eat that now for my breaks along with some beef jerky and my cravings to eat and snack are satisfied by a much healthier treat.

You better believe it pal! Adding a cycling regimen to your workout schedule can significantly increase your endurance. I personally love cycling. It’s fun and is great change of pace for your boring old workout routine.
You don’t have to be an expert on cycling to get the benefits and you don’t have to own a couple thousand dollar bike either. You can buy a decent bike for a couple hundred dollars or less and it will be just fine.

Running is a fun sport - really. Each day, people all over the world partake in the sport. Some run on the track. Others run in their neighborhood. People run in trails and even on the treadmill. No matter where you run or how often you do it, chances are you are either at risk for injury or you have at some point dealt with an injury.
Injuries can be frustrating. For most people, this means that some time needs to be spent away from the sport. For someone who loves it, this is not an easy task. But it is important to note that the easiest and quickest way to heal a running injury is to stop running.

Health insurance is one of the most talked about and difficult-to-afford types of insurance that the average American is faced with buying. In fact, health insurance has become so expensive that approximately 17% of all residents of Florida are without health insurance coverage of any kind.
Florida, like most other states, has a program designed to provide health care to children. Florida’s program, called KidCare, is designed to provide health services to children 19 years of age and younger. There are income eligibility requirements as well as other qualifications, but if you are having troubling finding health insurance for a minor for any reason it may pay you to check out Florida’s KidCare program at: http://www.floridakidcare.org/

Arthritis is a debilitating condition that unfortunately, is present in millions of people around the world. And although there are over 100 different types of arthritis, one of the worst is inflammatory arthritis. Here is a closer look at what you should know about this major health problem.
The root meaning of the word arthritis actually means “joint inflammation”. As you may know whenever you injure a part of your body, whether inside or outside, the area becomes inflamed. It turns red, starts to swell up and then becomes warm to the touch. When this happens in a joint, it can easily become arthritic.

“You are what you think.” This statement and others like it can be found in the works of Shakespeare, Chekov, and Emerson, in the teachings of Lao-Tzu and Socrates, and even in the Bible. So, is there any current scientific proof or is this statement simply a wishful thought?

Who hasn’t heard that one? Modern medicine seeks a cure-all. The problem with cures is that they’re just that — cures. One thing no drug can do at present, is make you eat healthy. Consuming 8 glasses of purified water, adequate consumption of fiber — approximately 20 to 25 grams per day, and adequate antioxidant consumption have all been shown to dramatically reduce the likelihood of developing cancer. Most governments recommend 5-10 servings of fruits and vegetables daily — but let’s face it… How many people actually follow that? If you’re not a vegetarian, it’s highly improbably you’re meeting your government’s recommendations unless you’re really paying close attention to what you’re eating.

Unfortunately, many teenagers have the tendency to abuse their own bodies when they don’t feel well. If they don’t act this way, they may even suffer from panic attacks. However, they don’t believe they are suicidal… They don’t want to receive treatment from a professional, mainly because they hate them, and they simply carry on in this way until something worse happens. Of course, it can only get worse since it is a very serious sign of the domination of the wild conscience in the person’s human conscience. This wild conscience is very violent, so it pushes the person to torture his or her own body. This behaviour is completely crazy!
